It has been quite the week, friends! I still have lots to share about my visit to King Arthur Flour earlier this week. After that, I came home to Burlington smack in the middle of jazz fest, and somehow scored some free tickets to the VIP tent at the Trombone Shorty show. That guy can play.
Last night, Dave and I found ourselves back at the same festival tent for a '70s-themed business party, which unfortunately let out early due to pouring rain and lightning. Hundreds of us raced to ECHO Aquarium for shelter — it was pretty exciting.
This morning, an old friend and I went strawberry picking at Charlotte Berry Farm. I haven't yet decided what to do with my haul (pictured), but I may revisit this simple strawberry cake or finally make this banana-strawberry bread from Joy the Baker that's been bookmarked for ages.
What are your plans this sunny weekend? Here are some more links to keep you entertained...
Pretty rain photos here and here.
Craft project: straw-blown trees.
Eek! Funny new humans.
I need these salt and pepper shakers.
This may well be my go-to Summer 2012 Cocktail, too... can't wait to try it.
